Zambronis GSBHL Rep Team Fall in World Championship Final

BARRIE, ONTARIO- The New Sudbury Zambronis GSBHL Rep Team's cinderella run to the ballhockey.com World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championship final came to an end following a 6-3 loss in the C Division finals to the London Turtles.

The Zambronis started their championship journey with a 4-0 quarter final win over the Barrie Scorpions. Goaltender Justin Soucy earned the shutout. The team would follow up with a 3-2 semi-final win over the Newark Brewers, setting up a C Division Championship match up against the London Turtles. The Zambronis entered the second period with a 3-1 lead but couldn't hold off the Turtle's offence, giving up five straight goals in route to a 6-3 loss.

While the team fell short in it's goal to bring Sudbury its first World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championship, the second place finish is the highest in team history.

The loss will surely fuel the 2022 team to finally bring home it's first World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championship, next summer.
